Our food pantry is an environment of respect and confidentiality.

Last year, The Sylvia Rivera Food Pantry served over 170,000 pounds of food and offered thousands of referrals to culturally-competent community partners.

Services offered are as follows:

Client-Choice Grocery Distribution (open to all): Thursday 9 am-10 am

Lunch Bag Distribution (open to all): Tuesday-Friday 1 pm-3 pm

PLWHA Pantry (M11Q required): Tuesday-Friday 12 pm-1 pm

PROVIDES CRISIS SERVICES TO LGBTQIA+ RUNAWAY AND HOMELESS YOUTH AGED 18-24.

We operate a crisis shelter for homeless youth 365 days a year.
In addition to a safe place to stay, we provide intensive social work and mental health services, Our team of client service assistants work with partner organizations to provide case management and care for LGBTQIA+ youth.

Youth also have access to on-site medical services through our partnerships with The Q Clinic providing necessities:
Emergency overnight services | Connections to long-term housing | Case management | Advocacy groups | Showers | Hot meals

Services are crisis in nature and we have a 90-day limit on stays.

Q Clinic provides free primary care for members of the LGBTQI community.

Especially those who are under-served, under-insured, or resource and housing-insecure.

They are a student-run free clinic established in October 2015 by medical students and faculty at Columbia University.

Q Clinic offers tools for health management and provides free STI/HIV lab screenings, subsidized medications, PrEP, and flu shots.

Q Clinic is concerned about the lack of comprehensive primary care that can fulfill the unique and diverse needs of people who identify as LGBTQI.

They are committed to respectfully serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and gender non-conforming communities in New York City.

Over 90% of LGBTQI runaway and homeless youth struggle with mental illness.

Nearly 1 in 4 have attempted suicide.

In 2010 we extended our commitment to helping youth experiencing persistent mental illness with the creation of the Mental Health Services program.

Youth have one-stop access to mental health and preventative care during the Skala Clinic. Services include:

Support groups | Case management | Life-skills training

Free rapid HIV testing and meals are also provided during clinic hours. All services are offered in both English and Spanish.
