> Where are you located?

We are located at 446 W. 36th St. New York, New York 10018

> When do you serve lunch?

We serve lunch Tuesday - Friday, 1-3 pm.

> When do you distribute groceries?

Our grocery distribution service is every Thursday from 9 am-11 am.

> Is there a limit to the number of times I can visit the food pantry?

No, clients are able to come as many times as they would like.

> Do you require documentation for food distribution?

We do not require documentation for our lunch and grocery services. However, we do require documentation for PLWHA Pantry - M11Q is required.

> Are there age requirements for your services?

There are no age requirements for any of our food distribution services. The shelter is for homeless youth ages 16-24.

> Do you allow volunteers?

We do! We are always happy to have more helping hands around. Frequently volunteers come to help with our Thursday grocery distribution, but we have other opportunities throughout the week. Email sylviariverasplace@mccny.org if you are interested in volunteering.

> I’d like to help, but am not local. Do you have virtual volunteer opportunities?

We always welcome help and are open to getting creative with how people can pitch in. Email sylviariverasplace@mccny.org and we’ll be in touch.

> I know someone in need of shelter - do you accept referrals?

We do accept referrals for persons age 16-24. Requirements of attending drop-in Monday-Friday still apply. Please call: 212-629-7440.

> What items are you most in need of for your shelter?

There is always a need for socks and boxer shorts, towels and bedding, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, sleeping bags and toiletries. Non-perishable food items are always accepted.
